Glasgow City Council, GB simulates emission-reduction ideas with a digital twin of its largest park
Glasgow City Council, GB Largest Park Digital Twin Simulate
Complete
The IES-designed digital twin presents real-time data on energy usage and emissions at the 361-acre Pollok Country Park. Virtual representations of buildings dating back to the 18th century provide baselines for simulations of proposed improvements. City officials are evaluating how upgrades like hydroelectric capacity at the water mill and heat pumps can be balanced against preservation needs. The long-term goal is off-grid and net-zero solutions for 100% of the park's operational needs.
