Glasgow City Council, GB Citymakers Unemployed Public Works
Project partner Jobs and Business Glasgow employ Citymakers participants for 26 weeks. Workers are embedded with the city's parks teams to maintain vacant city lots, verges, and gaps between buildings. City officials identified areas in need of beautification by engaging with community organizations and residents. The Citymakers initiative allows workers to build the skills and experience necessary for employment.
