Maricopa County, AZ reducing traffic times with smart tech
Maricopa County, after a successful pilot project for traffic signal technology, is continuing their plan to use smart tech to improve street safety and reduce traffic times. The technology, labeled adaptive signal control technology or ASCT, is designed to read traffic conditions in real-time via sensors to adjust the timing of traffic signals. It aims to provide a smoother flow of traffic throughout the valley by optimizing traffic flow and preventing accidents.
