Newcastle upon Tyne City Council, GB reinforces Early Help for families with text messaging pilot
Newcastle upon Tyne City Council, GB Early Help Text Pilot
City officials found that 20% of Early Help support offers are rejected each year. The pilot used text messages to highlight the program's capacity to deal with issues ranging from addiction to debt. Families received text messages immediately following phone calls offering council support. A second text message was sent two days later to any family rejecting assistance. The Early Help team also revamped its online content with testimonials, request forms, and empowering language.
