The bylaw prohibits foam takeaway containers, plastic utensils, and other items from March 27, 2022. City officials conducted a Rethink Waste Think Tank campaign for ideas on reducing household waste. Suggestions collected during this engagement effort are listed on the Community Ideas Hub. Categories like repairing household items and cutting food waste list these suggestions for easy retrieval. Residents add new ideas to the Hub with the Share Your Ideas form.
