Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, GB tests Limetrack smart bins for local restaurants
Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, GB Limetrack Bins
Twenty-seven restaurants and cafes in the Surbiton neighborhood will participate in a trial of Limetrack technology. Sensors within Limetrack bins gather data for analytics of waste and emissions reduction opportunities. Limetrack also collects food waste with bin contents turned into compost and bioenergy. Participating businesses may save up to £6,000 per year through more efficient use of food, while the council diverts food waste from landfills.
