Winnipeg, MB On-Request Service Pilot Public Transportation
Winnipeg Transit and Via will route on-demand buses in three trial zones using automated planning software. Areas 101 and 102 provide service seven days a week, while Area 110 is operational Monday through Saturday. Commuters open the Transit On-Request app to ask for rides within these areas at the same fare as fixed-route buses. The app updates users on estimated arrival times, drop-off locations, and walking directions to nearby destinations.
