Ajax, ON Council Decision Dashboard simplifies project management and tracking by town departments
The Council Decision Dashboard is an interactive resource shaped by eight years of town council motions. An overview page visualizes council motion types, outcomes, and statuses by year and department. This internal dashboard helps department heads plan budgetary and staff requests, while town leaders can monitor project progress. Ajax developed the dashboard as part of a data visualization initiative that also produced a fire incident map and a snow removal app.

Enfield Council, GB evaluates its Climate Action Plan progress with the OnePlanet platform
Enfield Council worked with OnePlanet on a year-long review of its 2020 Climate Action Plan. The council's Climate Team produced an interactive map with metrics for eight action areas including waste, buildings, and travel. OnePlanet supports Shared Indicators and Outcomes for unified efforts across departments. Additional features like a UN Sustainable Development Goals filter and automated reporting move the council closer to its 2030 goal of carbon-neutral operations.

Wellington, VIC Our Sustainability Impact tool tracks progress toward council's net-zero goals
This interactive tool provides transparency for the shire's climate mitigation and adaptation efforts. A Virtual Tour presents revegetation, EV charging, and solar power projects taking place throughout Wellington. Community members also find detailed plans in five areas including Environmental Stewardship and Low Carbon Economy. Each section contains planned council projects and metrics for success as established in Wellington's Sustainability Strategy 2020-24.

Baltimore, MD modernizes public services with new Digital and City Performance teams
Baltimore used $3.2 million in federal ARPA funding on two programs that ingrain innovation into city operations. Technology specialists on the Baltimore Digital team develop user-friendly digital tools accessible to all city residents. The City Performance team improves data collection through existing mechanisms like CitiStat and the Mayor's Action Plan. This team also co-designs metrics-based performance plans with each city department for improved performance evaluation.

Miami-Dade County, FL transformed the OCA's annual Performance Measures Report with technology
Miami-Dade County transformed the Office of the Commission Auditor's (OCA) annual Performance Measures Report through technology, data visualization, and a focus on service delivery. The OCA implemented Microsoft BowerBI to automatically access county departmental information and create detailed reports; used GIS platforms to geocode data and translate it into geographic views; and integrated the Social Progress Imperative index to measure how well the county provides for the community.

Jerez de la Frontera, AN installed interactive information panels on air quality and pollution
The Jerez Mayor's Office for Urban Planning, Infrastructure, and the Environment installed interactive information panels on air quality and pollution at various points in the city. The panels were designed to increase transparency and accountability for the city to comply with regulations and achieve the goals of the 2030 Agenda. The panels display real-time levels of sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, particles, and a rating of the local air quality.

Halifax, NS Strategic Performance Snapshot tracks progress toward council priorities
The dashboard shows annual progress toward seven goals including economic prosperity and service excellence. Priority sections display desired trends and current progress in easy-to-read graphics for 80 initiatives. For example, the Prosperous Economy section includes data on annual purchasing power changes, business confidence, and urban agricultural production. Halifax adjusts the Strategic Performance Snapshot using calendar and fiscal year updates across its departments.

New York, NY launched DMMR an online tool that allows residents to access city agency data
New York City launched the Dynamic Mayor’s Management Report (DMMR) an online tool that allows residents to access metrics related to city agency operations. The DMMR is a digital version of the Mayor's Management Report which is published twice a year by the New York City Charter to track performance goals. The DMMR allows users to search and compare data of city agencies over the past several years and it will be updated regularly to track service delivery and identify areas for improvement.

A Coruña, GA developed the PowerBi tool to enhance transparency for European co-financed projects
The City Council of A Coruña developed the "PowerBi EidusCoruña" online tool to enhance the transparency of in the management of funds for local projects with European co-financing. The PowerBi interactive tool was designed to allow the public to easily analyze data for these projects by reviewing graphics created with data collected by municipal services. The PowerBi tool allows any resident to see the status of the 10 million euros in projects executed by the Town Planning Department.

Cornwall Council, GB anticipates policy challenges with Climate Change and Health Tool
Workshops with stakeholders like Cornwall Rural Community Charity and Public Health England shaped the tool's early development. Council officials and the University of Exeter are incorporating feedback into the proof of concept ahead of the COP26 conference in November 2021. Tool users will receive recommendations and estimated impacts based on local climate projections. The Climate Change and Health Tool produces reports customized to policymaking realities.
