Annapolis, MD develops peer mediation teams for neighborhood violence with NO HARM VIP pilot

Annapolis, MD NO HARM VIP Peer Mediation Pilot

In Progress

The 10-week pilot will employ past victims of violence to teach conflict resolution in high-crime neighborhoods. NO HARM VIP teams also connect neighbors with the city's food assistance, housing, health, and employment services. Each team member earns $12 per hour for 20 hours of work per week. The mayor's office focused on past victims as peer communicators because they can impart their experiences as they deliver services.
