City of Cape Town, WC Skills and Employment Accelerator

City officials and the National Skills Fund recruit businesses in high-growth industries for the program. Participating employers offer one-year placements for trainees that include on-the-job training. Unemployed women and young adults selected for the accelerator receive classroom instruction to improve their chances at permanent employment. Cape Skills and Employment Accelerator focused on call centers and clothing manufacturers in its first year.
