Stirling XP incentivizes tours of cultural destinations with new filters and digital collectibles. The mobile app improves the accessibility of historical buildings with virtual experiences. Council officials worked with BT and Seymourpowell on the project's development.

Stirling Council, GB undertakes the United Kingdom's largest social housing sensor network
The council worked with Aico on an IoT device pilot as part of a CivTech challenge. A successful trial resulted in a decade-long HomeLINK sensor installation project for 50,000 tenants served by Stirling Council Housing Service. Real-time data on humidity, carbon dioxide levels, and temperatures are sent to a council platform as well as a tenant-facing app. This information leads to proactive responses to mold and customized recommendations for home energy usage.

Individuals and local groups will fill gaps in a 2022-2023 Winter Service Policy focused on high-traffic roads. Community Winter Volunteers receive shovels, gritting equipment, and safety gear for the duration of the pilot. A best-practices guide educates participants on how to avoid injuries through proper snow removal techniques. Stirling's Road Service provides ongoing support to maximize volunteer impacts on less-traveled roads and sidewalks.

Stirling Council, GB transforms park-and-ride lot into the Castleview Solar Energy Hub
The 132-space lot holds a solar canopy capable of producing 250,000 kilowatt-hours per year. Council officials approved 20 standard electric vehicle chargers and 12 rapid chargers to join the lot's two existing stations. The Solar Energy Hub features e-bike sharing stations, bike lockers, and enhanced paths for cycle traffic. Construction on the hub followed an October 2019 declaration of a climate emergency by the council.
