Tulln, NOE IoT tree moisture sensors for targeted irrigation

In Progress

The Municipality of Tulln is establishing itself as a "Green Smart City" by using Long Range Wide Area Network (LoRaWAN) technology to manage energy-efficient data transmissions between IoT sensors over long distances. The sensors are operational for up to 10 years without changing the battery reducing energy and maintenance costs. The municipality will equip select public green spaces and all newly planted trees with moisture IoT sensors to improve growth care with targeted irrigation.
