The City of Chattanooga partnered with two local hotels to provide temporary housing for the homeless. The city signed 90-day contracts with the Chatt Inn and Super 8 to provide 31 rooms and 19 rooms respectively at an annual estimated cost of $200,000. The rooms are already filled and the waiting list continues to grow. Property owners and local outreach organizations are pushing for a permanent solution to be implemented before the 90-day contracts are up.
