The Daviess County Sheriff's Department implemented new technology to help with forensic investigations involving smartphones, computers, and surveillance cameras. The new software allows investigators to search for evidence even if it was previously deleted by extracting data from backup systems in iCloud, Google Drive, and social media. The software also provides more accurate phone location records and allows detectives to access surveillance from camera systems using proprietary technology.
