The city of Orlando signed a partnership with NASA to begin planning for advanced air mobility by developing new infrastructure. The city is contracting the German company Lillium to build the first vertiport in the United States which will act as a landing pad where electric oversized drones will take off vertically. The city agreed to contribute $1 million over 10 years through property tax rebates if the company complies with job creation and wage requirements.
